Homo sapiens Evolution is a long biological process, which lasted millions of years. But we’ll try to explain it during a couple of minutes.

Early history

Around 6 million years ago, in Africa, which used to be a green land in those days, our common ancestor with the chimp mutated and divided into 2 evolutionary branches.

The First of them eventually evolve into not the most silly apes. And the other one will become Homo Habilis (“able man”), and later evolve to Homo Erectus (“upright man”).

Less than 2 million y.a.,some of Erectus migrated from Africa and spread around the whole world.

The Next important link — is Homo heidelbergensis, which lived around 700 000 y.a. Many scientists think, that this species divided into 3 Homo branches: Homo neanderthalensis in Europe, Denisovian in Asian part of the continent and Homo sapiens in Africa

Rising of Sapiens

Half a million years later, the first two species were assimilated by dominant Homo Sapiens, that had been migrating from home continent.

15–20 000 years ago, Homo sapiens remained, in fact, the only survived homo species. However, Homo neanderthalensis and Denisovians left us between 1 to 5 percent of their DNA. Thanks to that, some Earthlings have white skin and green eyes.

Thus, Homo sapiens, I mean you and I, had luck to become a dominant biological species, because we all have a good genome, which guarantees us great fertility and constant growth of our brain and cognitive ability
